Top 10 of Our Most Popular Instagram Posts of 2018
Just for fun, we decided to look back on the 10 most popular Instagram posts of 2018. Some things became pretty clear: Video rules when it comes to capturing attention on Instagram. We’ve already resolved to do many more in 2019.
You also love videos and shots that go beyond the pretty exterior to reveal the inner workings of a cabinet or show how a special feature, like the KitchenAid mixer lift, works. And white kitchens with a twist – like my home kitchen – got lots of love, so that made me feel good. Thanks to my photo team this year including my sons Owen and Henry, Adam Kane Macchia, and Tim Lenz.
Here’s a recap of your favorite Studio Dearborn posts from 2018.
Stainless-Steel Lined Snack Drawer (3,412 Views)
We love the way this metal-lined drawer keeps the chips crunchy longer and contains all those crumbs. Plus out of sight means out of mind…so it’s a bonus for your waistline.
Sexy Wardrobe (2,356 Views)
Yes, kitchens are my bread-and-butter but that’s not all we design – we do baths, laundry rooms, and closets, too. This sleek wardrobe commissioned by Nancy Davilman of ND Interiors Westchester has plenty of hanging space and nooks, plus an Art Deco vibe.
Hardworking Island (2,206 Views)
This little island has it all: a slotted drawer for knives, cutting board storage, a KitchenAid mixer lift, and a stainless-lined drawer for produce.
Hidden Breakfast Bar (2,065 Views)
Now you see it…now you don’t. A special station for hiding away coffee makers, blenders, juicers, and bowls are brewing into a big kitchen design trend for 2019.
Pullout Utensil Drawer (1,570 Views)
Having a convenient place to store utensils right next to the stove is priceless. Some of my clients install another pullout on the other side of the stove just for ingredients they use often.
Island with Mixer Lift (1,370 Views)
You don’t need a mixer on the counter all the time. Hide it away with a Rev-a-Shelf, the industry leader in hidden appliance lifts that can hold up to 60 pounds.
Classic White Kitchen Collaboration (876 Views)
It’s white, but there’s nothing traditional about this kitchen with a mixed media island and so much gorgeous natural light.
Docking Drawer Charging Station (670 Views)
Lots of you like the idea of cleaning up that jumble of cords once and for all. Keep it all inside a drawer with a heat-safe outlet designed to power up phones and tablets.
Home Bar in Character Oak (593 Views)
I think this corner bar in character oak might be my favorite part of our modern farmhouse kitchen renovation. We love having our favorite watering hole down the hall.
Hidden Range Hood (569 Views)
Blue was definitely the 2018 color of the year in kitchen cabinetry — and it’s still going strong for 2019. Paired with a disappearing range hood and mismatched cabinets, this transitional kitchen was very appealing.
