A Long Time Coming

This kitchen was designed for my longtime good friend Adam and his family. Having moved into this home they felt their kitchen needed a design upgrade, but also needed to be more functional. Working with architectural designer Jesse Held, we moved the kitchen and changed the configuration to make it not only more usable but also aesthetically pleasing. I was inspired by European cafes and an antique upholstered stool that I had acquired with these beautiful shades of green and gold, which you can see were used in the built-in cabinet. In addition to the changes we made to the kitchen, we were also able to add a mudroom, which is something every active family needs. The new kitchen may have been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait.
