Receiving accolades for thoughtful planning and custom storage concepts, Studio Dearborn kitchens have garnered national awards including the 2019 – 2020 NKBA Best Kitchen Designs. In 2020 Studio Dearborn was honored to design the House Beautiful Whole Home Concept House kitchen in Denver, Colorado.
Sarah has been recognized as a top innovator within the industry, and has developed a global social media following. Her kitchens have appeared in House Beautiful, Traditional Home, HGTV Magazine, Luxe, BHG, Lonny, House and Home, and Houzz TV, among others.

Sarah
Founder and Principal
A kitchen ninja, a cabinet wizard, a social media maven…Sarah Robertson is the accomplished designer at the helm of boutique kitchen design firm, Studio Dearborn. Founded in 2008, she is known for her meticulously orchestrated artisanal kitchens for which people around the globe aspire. Sarah possesses a true gift for transforming ordinary spaces into stunning and intuitively functional kitchen oases.
Her work has appeared in nearly every major shelter magazine and has garnered international design awards including a “three-peat” as the NKBA Best Kitchen Design in 2019, 2020, and 2023. Her viral videos on TikTok and Instagram have over 50 million views on social media.
With an MBA and management consulting experience with McKinsey and 8 years as a solo residential builder and developer, Robertson brings a mix of candid construction advice and creative problem-solving to every project. Her approachable persona and exemplary professionalism have enabled her to grow a dedicated client base and highly engaged social media following.
Sarah has achieved industry notoriety through her leadership and innovation in the kitchen design world. In 2021 she received the coveted “DesignHounds Changemaker” award and was named a “Person of the Year Praiseworthy Pick” by Kitchen and Bath Business magazine. Her first product launch, the Steppe Sink, was an Innovation in Design winner. Sarah frequently shares her knowledge of the industry as a brand collaborator, keynote speaker, panelist, and contributing editor.

Assistant Project Manager
Amy Fowle joined Studio Dearborn in 2021, eager to make a career change. After a corporate life with Andersen Consulting, many years raising a family, and running a startup floral business, Amy is excited to be assisting in project management on a part-time basis. Her special powers include finding virtually anything on the internet, and she is excited to help you with designing and sourcing finishes for your kitchen space, and all the other details of getting your new kitchen perfect.
